Question for someone with experience in Human Resources?

that is a touchy situation there... although the policy states that the store manager needs to be notified there is probably a loophole that states when the store manager is not available within a "reasonable" amount of time or whatever then you are to report the incident to whomever they want to insert - HR or district manager or whatever... it's a safe umption that most of this is due just because of the potential for some type of ual harment issue stemming from the incident... which really sucks for your friend if they wanted to they could try to fight it but i don't think it would be worthwhile
