Whats a better thing to say to girls while your texting?

She might be like "Heyy." I say "Sup." she probably thinks im tryna be hard or sum. What should a dude say to a girl he likes besides sup? And we have these type of conversations that end in 10 minutes and we stop talking....any advice there? =/
