How do i defrost my turkey?
I'm a food service cook supervisor and i must tell you...absolutely do not leave it sit out overnight, the potential for food-born pathogens is astronomical once it gets about 40 degress. Seriously, please don't do that, you and your family could get very sick. The best way is to take it out today, and put it in the bottom of your fridge. It should be thawed by thursday. if that is not an option, then you might consider cooking it from frozen. It will take a bit longer, but it is possible. If you choose to do that, i'd suggest beginning cooking on xmas eve afternoon and slow roasting on through christmas day. If neither of these is viable, then you can unthaw it under cool water. You'd have to start this early xmas eve day and keep changing out the water every hour or so until it was thawed.
