Christians only ?

I've struggle with this before, and I'd say if you are pursing god through prayer and reading the bible, then the only thing left to do to make a spiritual connection is to spend time with good Christian friends or join a youth group or church. When I see other people around me following god with a great spiritual connection its extremely encouraging. To me faith is simply trusting god more than you trust yourself, and putting his will before your own.
